In the summer of 2011, eight St. Ambrose University undergraduate students participated in the inaugural Undergraduate Summer Research Institute for the Natural, Physical, and Behavioral Sciences (USRI). Students majoring in Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, Behavioral Neuroscience, and Industrial Engineering spent six weeks conducting research under the guidance of SAU faculty.
In addition to conducting their research, participants attended lunch seminars, workshops on writing resumes and graduate/medical school applications, and in a variety of interdisciplinary activities. The students presented their findings to a group of peers and faculty on the last day of the institute.
Summer 2012 brings a new group of students and new projects..come back to this blog often to check their progress!
